Chobe Day Trip

Duration: 10 hour(s) - Location: Chobe National Park Botswana

Chobe National Park is probably Botswana's next most well-known conservation area. It is a diverse area, from the border at the Chobe River to the now dry Savute Channel and beyond to the borders of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve.

The Park is best known for its concentrations of elephant - some 1,20,000 is all - along with a good  number of buffalo, antelope and predators. Birding is also excellent, with many migrants visiting from November to March.

The group leaves Livingstone early in the morning for a one hour transfer to Chobe National Park. A small speed boat takes guests across from the Zambian to the Botswana side and within a short time they will be enjoying a three hour boat cruise in the National Park. This will be followed by a good lunch at a riverside lodge and a three hour game drive into Chobe National Park. Guests return to Livingstone early evening.

Participant guidelines

For most nationalities, a visa for Botswana is not required. It is advisable to check in advance if guests are planning a Botswana trip. Also, guests should request a double or multiple entry visa when entering Zambia for the first time if they are planning to go to Chobe.

Visa's for Botswana or re-entry visa's for Zambia are the guests responsibility. If for any reason your entry into Botswana is refused because a visa has to be applied for before arrival, there will be no refund paid to you. Check the Botswana Government Website prior to making reservations
