The farm was established in the 1950s and the MD of Livingstone Guest Farm has developed a very good relationship with the surrounding communities since 1979.

Some 2 years ago the farm ensured that the road to the farm and to the surrounding communities was upgraded by the Zambian Government. Currently the Guest Farm employs and trains staff from the villages, buys farm produce and building materials like sand and crushed stones from the community and various goods from the local markets and local shops.
