The owners take guests of Livingstone Safari Lodge to the local schools and also provide housing to the poor. 

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Livingstone Safari Lodge is seeking to work with Interact to provide opportunities to volunteer with local communities. It is also involved in fundraising for water sanitation and other projects. The lodge promotes use of local materials; it has its own borehole and the all the construction in the lodge is environment friendly.
