This well-established game farm provides a number of unique opportunities to see a completely different side of Zambian life as a contrast to the adrenalin rush activities around Victoria Falls and Livingstone. With options for either a half day or full day at Mabula Game Farm, guests can understand more about this growing sector, a far more natural 'fit' with the environment than cattle farming.
A chance to actually interact with the otherwise elusive eland is a highlight of any visit to Mabula. The community of the neighbouring village is a critical part of the successful development of the game farm and guests are welcome to see more of the life of a typical rural village in this part of Zambia and learn about unique customs and ways of life.
Birding, game drives, horse riding, evening options for sundowners, venison braai and night drives provide enough activities for several days, let alone just one.
- Duration: 8 hour(s)
- Location: Mabula Game Farm is about 40 km from Livingstone
Guests are picked up from their respective hotels and driven to Mabula (approximately one hour). On arrival, guests are welcomed with an introduction to the options within the time available (either half or full day).
Options are also available for afternoon and evening tours, which include venison roast in a traditional setting after dusk.
