Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Stone Guest House provides support through the Livingstone Lodges Association for older people in the community. Furthermore, responsible use of water throughout the hotel is encouraged.
The vegetables and eggs used for cooking are produced on the owner's farm. All other produce is bought locally.
The lodge is build with natural stone and the decorations are local arts and crafts.
Alex and Yvonne encourage their guests to buy local crafts; often the vendors are invited to the lodge to sell.
