Trips are for novices and experienced canoeists alike, involving very small rapids, quiet channels and the vast open expanses of the Zambezi river. No previous canoeing experience is required by any participant. It would be best described as a nature drift down one of the great rivers of the world, where abundant populations of wildlife, mainly elephant, are regularly encountered on the banks or on the innumerable islands and where birdlife is prolific.

    - Pick-up locations must be within Livingstone or surrounding area, eg all hotels and lodges, some of which will be close to the Victoria Falls itself.

    Guests are dropped off at their accommodation within Livingstone

  • Pickup time: (8.00 AM)
  • Drop-off time: (10.00 AM)

Itinerary

- Pick-up and transport to to tour departure point (between 15-35 minutes).
- Tea/ coffee or orange juice followed by a safety briefing on the banks of the river.
- You adventure begins!
- Stop for drinks and biscuits on an island.
- At the end of the trip, you receive more refreshmenets.
- Return to your accommodation.

Cancellation notive received by 16.00 the day before the tour departure date = 100%.

Children policy

- Children are accepted.
- Children under 12 years old will be taken down the river in 6m inflatable rafts.
- N.B. The canoes and the rafts will NOT be separated during the trip. In this way, the trips can be suitable for all families.

Participant Guidelines

Although these canoe trips are of a quiet and sedentary nature, you are required to do the canoeing themselves. Although, you are always accompanied by very experienced guides, you should be reasonably fit.

It is very rare for conditions on the Zambezi to be cold, so clothing should be light. Sandals or track shoes are essential, and sun protection is advised.
