I have one tip for the hotel. The room rate was stated in dollars, but of course, as a Zambia resident I was paying in kwacha. The amount was calculated using the advettized rate for changing dollars into kwacha. This is in fact a "selling rate" for kwacha, whereas I was actually (in theory) "buying" dollars. As only one rate was shown, I ended up paying LESS than the amount I expected to pay. (The $50 was converted at a rate of something like 4.400 instead of around 5,000.) I am not complaining at all, of course, but management may want to take a look at this. I suggest, in fact, that the room rate be stated in the legal currency rather than dollars and anyone paying in another currency has their rate calculated. But I should say that EVERYONE on the hotel staff was charming, pleasant and welcoming.- 24/08/2010, Mr. Francis Johnston
