- 09 Nov 2011, Mr MICHAEL D.I was very well receiverd for a short stay at the lodge (1 day). After arrival I was advised on practical things, and the owner arranged a taxi fo my visit to the falls. The setting of the lodge is also perfect. beatiful fruit trees and a nice trrace and pool. Great place, nice people, and great value for money!!

- 04 Sep 2011, Mr yosef z.Friendly staff on arrival and very helpful when staff realised that one of our party was disabled. Went the extra mile to assist us. Only problem was the bath was not working and the shower floor was very slippery. Tried the food and found it good value.

- 29 Aug 2011, Mr William Paul (Bill) P.I have written in great detail to EVL directly. Overall, compared to PomPom in the Delta, EVL did not compare. The service was mediocre -- meaning that attention to detail was lacking. We had to bring several maintenance issues to their attention that we feel they should have discovered and resolved on their own accord (ex: no hot water, broken step into the tent, zapping noise from the electric fence). Overall, the experience was good, but not great. There were a few things about the location in general that were off-putting, and then in particular about the lodge. First, we did not know or expect the lodge to be off of a major/ paved road. This made us feel too close to the "city life" and much less in the bush. We now know in the future to ask for lodges that are "fly-in" only.... and also to ask how many Germans are overlapping with our plans -- this I will explain in Pom Pom. The lodge aesthetically was beautiful... however, we were not accustomed to seeing an electric fence. This was a bit harsh, in our opinion. While I understand, it killed the atmosphere. The game drives were also a bit disappointing. The driver was extremely knowledgeable, but lacked passion. He didn't notice many animals/ birds and was not very "into it". We came to Africa to see and experience things we could not otherwise.. .and I feel they need to be reminded of that. We were also turned off by the volume of cars and traffic inside of Chobe. WOW. You could not see even an impala without another vehicle or boat watching the same thing. We also felt as though we went down the same path/ route every night in the park itself. We were limited on time in our night drives and that negatively impacted the experience. Dont' get me wrong, we saw amazing animals... but so did the other 20 cars that were around us. We would have liked to have ventured off a bit more and gotten away from the others... Finally, Dalmein (sp?) from the lodge was SUPERB! He was very attentive and willing to help with any questions, complaints, etc. What a pleasant fellow!
