The South African Department of Health has subsequently issued a statement that all travellers from Zambia to South Africa, and travellers that have recently visited Zambia, will now require proof of yellow fever vaccination. Previously, this was not required.

Citizens of the United State of America require a visa to visit Zambia. Travellers can obtain it on arrival, and the visa is valid for the duration of the stay. Travellers must also possess a valid passport. More info and registration
Entry requirements for UK nationals
British citizens must have a valid passport and visa to enter Zambia. Visas may be obtained at the port of entry and they are usually valid for the duration of stay. It is however best to obtain a visa before arrival.
Entry requirements for Most Europeans, Australians and Canadians
A valid passport and a visa are required. Visas may be obtained at the port of entry and they are usually valid for the duration of stay.
Entry requirements for nighbouring African Countries
A valid passport is required forcitizens of neighbouring African Countries, a visa is not required
Passport/Visa Note
All travellers must be able to show a return ticket or some proof of onward travel along with documents for the next destination. Proof of enough funds to finance the stay must also be shown. Depending on the number of entries and the nationality, the fee varies for a visa issued on arrival. Day visitors who enter Livingstone from Zimbabwe have special provisions. The fee for day visitors from destinations that require a visa to enter Zambia is US $20, which is to be paid on arrival. The traveller obtains a ‘Day Tripper Visa', which is valid for a maximum of 24 hours.

3) Payable: At all NACL airports: Lusaka, Livingstone, Ndola, Mfuwe
4) How to Pay: Payable at the airport of departure at the same booth where departure tax is collected and can be paid at the same time as departure tax
5) Cost: US $3 pp per sector (Domestic flights)
6) Transit: Same conditions will apply to the Security Charge as is applied to departure tax. IE: If you are in transit you will only pay the Security Charge once at the airport of departure
7) Applies to: All schedule and charter passengers departing from any NACL airport in Zambia (Lusaka, Livingstone, Ndola, Mfuwe)
NB: A US $5 INTERNATIONAL Security Charge has also been implemented (Lusaka and Livingstone), so please check with your international carriers before travel to ensure this is included in the ticket
