Canoeing Full Day

Duration: 8 hour(s) - Location: Certain sections of the upper Zambezi River

Full day canoe trips are for novices and experienced canoeists alike, involving very small rapids, quiet channels and the vast open expanses of the Zambezi river. No previous canoeing experience is required by any participant. It would be best described as a nature drift down one of the great rivers of the world, where abundant populations of wildlife, mainly elephant, are regularly encountered on the banks or on the innumerable islands and where birdlife is prolific.

Participant guidelines

Although these canoe trips are of a quiet and sedentary nature, you are required to do the canoeing. There will always be accompanied by very experienced guides, but you should be reasonably fit.

It is very rare for conditions on the Zambezi to be cold, so clothing should be light. Sandals or track shoes are essential, and sun protection is advised
