We were always aware that safety was foremost. Thank you.

JT and Matthew were excellent guides. They gave us freedom to explore but clearly were focused on our safety, especially in hippo territory. The wind was rough and not an easy paddle by any means but thoroughly enjoyable and would gladly go again with Makota Quest.
K, PJ and Innocent ensured that not only did we have a fantastic time on the water, but took their time to explain more about the river, the animals, and the country around us, which gave us a greater understanding of their lives too. At all times we felt the team were in control of the situation, and I couldn't recommend them more highly.
The tour guides that picked us up by van were fantastic and made us feel welcome straight away! Was a great way to start off the activities ~ they were very knowledgeable about the local area and activities we were about to do and we learnt a lot just within the short ride to the activity. I particularly liked how they briefed us at the pick up about how they day was going to go and in which particular order the activities would take place so we felt informed and knew what to expect! Highly recommend!

Friendly guides, took good care of everything.Only downside was the guy filming videos, who is unrelated to the company. But for $65 I expected a better video than what he gave us.Otherwise The experience and everything was absolutlet great.
The boat trip was perfect and the guide explain us a lot of things about the river and animals and we stay longer because the hippos were playing, the sunset was great.
Around the falls the guide was perfect and he helps us in devil pool as well.
Driver (Kelvin) to and from Botswana border was great. Sadly, the operator on the Botswana side gave us scarce info. No vegan meal option was available, although specifically booked and confirmed during booking process. We had to arrange this ourselves. The river cruise was very enjoyable. The "game drive' with David was frustrating. Poor organisation, packed vehicle (although other vehicles only had 2 people in them!) and other than innumerable impala and elephants, we hardly saw much wildlife. Chobe Lodge is more like a works canteen without friendly staff (except the chef who kindly accommodated with a non meat meal).
The Royal Livingstone Express offers the discerning guests the ultimate fine dining experience going back in time to the age of steam train travel. Bushtracks Africa in conjunction with Sun International are now able to
The boat ride to and from the cafe was spectacular. So much fun. Loved learning about the elephants and interacting with them. Africa, the host, was great. So informative. The food and wine were wonderful. Lovely atmosphere and great service during lunch. It was expensive, more than I thought necessary, but I do understand it supports the elephants.
The 2 girls and the man in the office were very unfriendly and not happy to work in the place however the staff with the jackets and the pilot were very very friendly and make my day but not the office staff.

I did this 12 years ago and it was fab then and fab now
Possibly the best "sundownwer" we have ever had - numerous wildlife sightings on the banks and in the river, followed by a beautiful clear sunset. Service onboard was excellent, as usual. .What had previously been small nibbles with drinks had become something far more substantial, so braai I had booked at the Boma at the Avani was totally unnecessary - I should have booked braai the night before and done the a-la-carte.on the night of the sundowner - feel sure some of the clients may have missed dinner all together given the choice, because of the quantity of food on the sundowner..
We booked United Air Charter for 30 min helicopter flight. The activity was overbooked which caused a delay of over 1 hour from the scheduled start. I am normally understanding, but we were in Livingstone for only 3 days and wasting 1 hour waiting was not something I wanted to do. On top of that, the staff could not even offer any free beverages as compensation for waiting because of their mistake.
Paying $360 for a 30 min helicopter ride you expect some care and consideraction, and not to be treated like a minibus passenger.
